Job summary

Viking Pest Control is seeking a Safety Coordinator to help maintain a safe, compliant work environment across our branches. You will develop and monitor safety programs, provide training, and respond to incidents in cooperation with management and frontline staff.

The role requires knowledge of OSHA, EPA, risk assessments, and environmental health practices, with strong communication and documentation skills to keep our operations safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments with safety management.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, hazardous materials regulations, workers' compensation and occupational health practices.
• Experience with safety training, incident reporting, and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with EMS and environmental health standards is desirable.
• Experience with regulatory and legal compliance standards in production environments is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant work environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions
• Provide and assist with defensive driving courses and training
• Lead incident investigations and use root cause analysis to identify underlying issues
• Provide training on safety regulations, hazard recognition, emergency response, CPR and first aid
• Prepare and maintain reports related to safety incidents, compliance audits, and risk assessments
• Help ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials
• Support employee health initiatives related to occupational and environmental health standards
• Stay current on safety regulations and environmental and legal compliance requirements
• Partner with management to develop policies that promote health and a strong safety culture
• Serve as primary point of contact for regulatory agencies regarding safety compliance
• Assist with other safety-related responsibilities as needed

Viking Pest Control is looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Safety Coordinator to help ensure a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment across our pest control branches.

In this role, you'll work closely with management and employees to develop and maintain safety programs, provide training, identify and reduce workplace risks, respond to safety incidents, and help ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, workers' compensation, vehicle, and other applicable safety regulations.

What You’re Doing

What We're Looking For

• Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments with a focus on workplace safety management
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA/environmental compliance standards, hazardous materials regulations, workers' compensation law, and occupational health practices
• Experience with safety training, incident reporting, and root cause analysis
• Familiarity with environmental management systems (EMS) and environmental health standards is highly desirable
• Experience with regulatory and legal compliance standards in production environments is preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
