Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety professional in Lufkin, TX. You will guide and lead the site's safety process to ensure the safety of team members as a priority.

The role involves investigating incidents, conducting audits, and delivering required trainings across the plant and site locations. Responsibilities include timely incident investigations, training delivery on key safety topics, and maintaining accurate records in safety databases.

Qualifications

• At least three years of directly related experience in an industrial environment.
• Solid knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigate all near misses, first aid cases, recordables, lost day injuries, and vehicular accidents within 24 hours, and track closure on all recommendations.
• Spend time being visible in the processing plant and other site locations.
• Conduct periodic safety and health audits and track findings to ensure closure.
• Conduct authorized training on Powered Industrial Trucks, Lockout Tagout, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, Confined Space Entry, and other topics as assigned.
• Enter information into accident, training completion and corrective action databases accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide training support to the organization and ensure monthly training is completed as scheduled.
