Overview
Shirley Parsons is partnered with an industry-leading organization in the renewable energy sector, currently seeking a Health and Safety Advisor with wind energy experience to support operations along the East Coast.

Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day health and safety support across operational and construction wind sites along the East Coast.
- Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to ensure compliance with internal policies, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implement corrective/preventive actions to mitigate risks.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through visible leadership, coaching, and continuous engagement with site teams.
- Develop, update, and maintain health and safety procedures, training materials, and documentation in line with current legislation and organizational standards.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training to employees and subcontractors to ensure awareness and understanding of safety expectations.
- Monitor and report on leading and lagging safety indicators; compile data for internal and external reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, engineering, and project management to integrate safety into daily workflows.
- Act as a point of contact for regulatory bodies during inspections, audits, or inquiries.
- Support emergency preparedness and response planning, including drills and scenario testing.
- Review and evaluate contractor safety plans and performance to ensure alignment with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of health and safety programs through benchmarking, innovation, and application of industry best practices.
Key Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a health and safety role, with proven background on wind projects.
- Strong understanding of OSHA standards and wind industry safety protocols.
- GWO (Global Wind Organization) training/certifications are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel to sites along the East Coast as required
