Job description

Location: United States ( Rotational Schedule )

Salary Range: $40hr - $50hr

Renewyx is representing a globally established EPC contractor with an expanding portfolio of utility-scale wind, solar, and BESS construction projects across North America. This organisation operates across multiple countries and brings deep international experience to its safety culture, backing its field teams with real structure, resources, and a genuine commitment to getting people home safe every day.

They are seeking an HSE Managerto join their construction team and provide leadership and strategic direction on employee and contractor safety across active renewable energy projects. In this role, you will develop and implement HSE plans, lead risk assessments, represent HSE at client meetings, oversee incident investigation and case management, and ensure compliance with OSHA and contractual requirements. You will also lead internal and external audits, manage PPE and safety equipment protocols, and work closely with Construction Operations and the HSE Regional Manager to keep sites safe, compliant, and running efficiently.

5+ years of HSE management experience in construction or industrial environments is a firm requirement, specifically including cranes, lifting and rigging, confined space, and work at heights. This organisation needs a safety leader who has operated hands-on in high-risk construction environments, not just managed policy from a desk. Candidates without this direct field safety background are unlikely to be the right fit.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced HSE professional who wants real influence over safety culture at scale, working across a growing international organisation with genuine room to shape how HSE programs are run.

The ideal candidate should have the following:
  • 5+ years of experience in HSE management, ideally within construction or heavy industrial environments
  • Direct experience managing risk around cranes, lifting and rigging, civil works, confined space, work at heights, and control of hazardous energy
  • Experience with Taproot or another structured root cause analysis methodology
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Health and Safety, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • BCSP or NASP certification, along with OSHA 501 and OSHA 500, is preferred
  • CSP, ASP, CRSP, GSP, CHST, or SMS certification is a strong plus
  • Experience guiding cultural change and behaviour-based safety programs across diverse teams and geographies
  • Strong ability to influence cross-functional teams and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • A valid US Driver’s License and genuine availability to travel
  • Comfortable working in outdoor project environments across a range of weather and physical conditions
