Job summary

E2 Optics is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join our team in Salt Lake City. You will support execution, compliance, and enhancement of internal and external safety programs, and help drive a culture of accident prevention across projects.

You will provide safety training, assist with investigations, and participate in audits, ensuring adherence to OSHA regulations while maintaining a safe, productive work environment for all employees and on-site partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• 2-3 years Occupational Health and/or Safety experience in a construction environment.
• OSHA 30
• Ability to positively influence and encourage others.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work days, nights and weekends as project requires.
• Self-motivated and excellent work ethics.
• Effectiveness working in various work environments.

Responsibilities

• Support execution, compliance, and enhancement of internal and external safety programs.
• Drive behavior-based safety culture to achieve accident-prevention and loss mitigation at E2 Optics customer locations.
• Provide safety and health training, instruction and coaching to ensure compliance with applicable OSH regulations.
• Assist the Safety Manager with incident/accident investigations, documentation, problem solving and countermeasure implementation.
• Conduct and/or participate in safety audits to review practices and records for compliance with relevant H&S programs and OSHA regulations.
• Track, trend and drive structured problem solving for recurring safety issues.
• This role requires minimal overnight travel (5%) and travel as required by E2 Optics.
