Safety Coordinator (East River) at American Foods Group

Green Bay, WI

Salary: $97,300–$125,544

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the company is in compliance with federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
  • Ensure that revisions to department policies and procedures are in compliance with organizational and government regulations.
  • Conduct and coordinate orientation with various departments to maximize efficiency of training.
  • Conduct remedial training.
  • Participate in planning/presenting Safety Meetings.
  • Conducting new employee OSHA training for all employees.
  • Conduct follow up OSHA training for all employees.
  • Provide documentation and reports on all training, programs, and follow ups.
  • Preparing various items for monthly department reports.
  • Develop strong relationship (employees, therapist, coworkers, etc.)
  • Conduct routine injury follow ups
  • Develop monthly training topics.
  • Conduct and monitor employee Safety and Health activities (stretches, First Aid, CPR, etc.).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in safety department.
  • Strong organizational skills and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
  • Possess effective personnel interaction, communication skills and phone skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Possess the ability to write reports, memorandums, policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of organization and agencies.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education, Training, and Licenses:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Safety or similar degrees.
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in a safety or training environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, CSA and OSHA rules and regulations.
