Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. is seeking a Safety Leader at the Beasley operation to develop and enforce safety policies across manufacturing. You will lead OSHA compliance, incident investigations, and training programs while addressing immediate safety concerns.

The role focuses on reducing workplace incidents, collecting safety data, and promoting health and safety throughout the Beasley facility. A bachelor's degree in Health and Safety is preferred.

Qualifications

• Directs, develops and oversees general safety policy and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
• Manages the Safety and Health function to meet our Safety Policy.
• Responsible for the promotion of Safety and Health of the Beasley Operation.
• Ensures Safety Audits are conducted weekly and provides metrics to management.
• Participates and/or leads incident investigations for compliance to safety standards.
• Adapts to operational needs and addresses immediate concerns of the manufacturing environment.
• Plan and direct safety orientation, skills trainings, emergency plans and job specific safety training.
• Collects and analyzes safety related data to reduce and prevent workplace accidents and improve overall facility safety record.

“Cooler By Design” - Chart’s principal focus is the design and fabrication of cryogenic equipment; we come to Chart with challenges and solve them from concept to installation. Our applications range from launching rockets to providing low-carbon energy and preserving critical tissues. Chart equipment is found in everyday spaces, including fast food outlets for beverages.

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

• Required personal protective equipment while in the shops: safety glasses, steel toe shoes, ear plugs, hard hat (when needed), gloves (when needed), face shield (when needed)
• Occasional exposure to heights and confined spaces

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and reach with hands and arms.

Your Experience Should Be…

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety or similar degree preferred. If no bachelor's degree, 2 additional years of safety experience with an associate’s degree or 4 years of safety experience without a degree and a strong track record of success is required.
