Job summary

Bowman Steel Fabrication and Erection is seeking a Safety Coordinator to safeguard our worksites across various states. You will oversee site safety, enforce regulatory compliance, and drive training to promote a culture of safety on every project.

You must have 1–2 years in safety, OSHA 10/30, and strong knowledge of fall protection and PPE. The role includes some travel and requires passing background checks and drug testing.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a safety role, preferably in structural steel construction.
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications required.
• Strong knowledge of fall protection and PPE requirements.
• Experience working from heights.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Background check and drug test required.
• Willingness to travel between job sites.

Responsibilities

• Site Safety Management: Monitor sites and eliminate hazards.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure OSHA standards and PPE adherence.
• Training & Education: Implement EHSPs and train workers.
• Incident Prevention: Develop and enforce safety policies.
• Equipment Oversight: Maintain safety equipment and company vehicle.

Your New Role

As aSafety Coordinator, you’ll be the go-to expert for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment acrossDifferent States. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Site Safety Management:Monitor construction sites, commercial buildings, and skilled trade environments to identify and eliminate hazards
• Regulatory Compliance:Ensure adherence to OSHA standards, fall protection protocols, and PPE requirements
• Training & Education:Implement Environmental Health and Safety Plans (EHSP) and train workers on best practices
• Incident Prevention:Develop and enforce safety policies to reduce workplace accidents
• Equipment Oversight:Maintain company-provided safety equipment, phone, laptop, and company vehicle

Job requirements

• Experience:1-2 years in a safety role, preferably in structural steel construction
