Job summary

Workforce Unlimited in Greensboro, NC is seeking a hands-on EHS professional to lead safety initiatives on the shop floor across all shifts. You will train employees, conduct risk assessments, and support safety improvements in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–4 years of manufacturing safety experience, OSHA General Industry knowledge, and strong communication skills to engage production teams. Flexibility for overtime and weekend coverage is helpful.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands-on safety/EHS experience in manufacturing
• Knowledge of OSHA General Industry practices, hazard recognition, LOTO, PPE
• Experience delivering safety training to production-floor groups
• Ability to conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and perform root-cause analysis

Responsibilities

• Lead employee safety training, new-hire orientations, toolbox talks, and monthly safety meetings
• Conduct manufacturing-floor safety walks, inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Investigate incidents and near misses; perform root-cause analysis and follow through on corrective actions
• Support forklift/PIT safety instruction and operator evaluations, along with LOTO, PPE, and general industrial safety training
• Maintain accurate training records, inspection findings, incident reports, and related safety documentation
• Partner with production leaders to coach employees and encourage hazard reporting
• Help build and improve safety procedures and program standards across shifts

Shift/Hours/Days: Flexible across all three shifts; primarily Monday-Friday, with occasional weekends and extended hours as needed

Pay Rate: Up to $30/hour

Client Profile

Our client is a major industrial manufacturing operation with around-the-clock production. The onsite team is strengthening its safety program and seeks a hands-on professional who can build employee trust, lead training, and improve day-to-day safety practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead employee safety training, new-hire orientations, toolbox talks, and monthly safety meetings.
• Conduct manufacturing-floor safety walks, inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
