Job summary

Chamberlin Roofing and Waterproofing is seeking a Safety Specialist to conduct daily safety audits, develop site-specific safety plans, and lead safety meetings and training on construction sites. You will handle OSHA compliance, job hazard analyses and incident response, coordinating with contractor safety personnel to ensure site safety requirements are met.

This is a field-based role reporting to the Safety Director.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Authorized to work in the United States (E-Verify).
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• OSHA 500 Certification required.
• Preferred bachelor's degree in safety or 1–3 years in construction safety management.
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
• Good organization skills.
• Strong problem solving and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily safety audits.

Position Description

This position will include, but will not be limited to, daily safety audits, development of site specific safety plans, conducting safety meetings and training, OSHA compliance/inspections, job hazard analysis, incident response, and working with general contractors safety personnel to ensure Chamberlin's compliance with site specific safety requirements. This position reports to the Safety Director and will be primarily field based.

Position Requirements

• Bilingual, able to read, write and communicate in English and Spanish
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be authorized to work in the United States (We do E-Verify)
• Average or above computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• OSHA 500 Certification
• Preferred bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or in a safety related field, or 1-3 years of experience in construction safety management role
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere
• Candidate must have good organization skills
• Candidate must possess problem solving skills and be self-motivated
