Qualifications

• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deliver safety training and engage employees.
• On-site safety consulting experience preferred.

Role Description

The Safety Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in the greater Philadelphia area. This role is responsible for providing safety oversight at client sites, including conducting workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations. The Safety Consultant will develop, implement, and review health and safety programs, procedures, and job-specific safety plans in collaboration with client teams. Daily activities include delivering safety training, coaching workers and supervisors on best practices, monitoring regulatory compliance, and preparing clear reports and documentation. The role also involves supporting field safety services such as atmospheric and industrial hygiene monitoring, pre-plan development, and coordination with project stakeholders to ensure incident-free, on-schedule, and on-budget project completion.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Safety Engineering, with the ability to identify hazards and implement practical control measures.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health principles, including worker exposure assessment and health risk mitigation.
• Experience with Environment Health and Safety (EHS) programs and regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA and applicable state regulations).
• Demonstrated ability to deliver effective Training, with emphasis on employee engagement and retention of safety concepts.
• Understanding of Process Safety in construction and general industry, including risk analysis and safe work procedures.
• Relevant certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHST, or OHST are highly beneficial.
• Experience in construction or industrial environments, with field-based safety consulting preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams on site.
• Proficiency in using standard office and safety reporting software for tracking, analysis, and documentation.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
