Job summary

New Millennium Butler is seeking a Safety Clerk to join our team and assist with all aspects of the safety department to help create and maintain a safe workplace.

Primary duties include audits, reporting, training support, insurance documentation, safety data management, incident reporting, and general coordinator support. Candidates should demonstrate strong computer skills and a proactive, education-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook.
• Ability to skillfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Desire to further your education and move up in the safety profession.
• Can not be related to any current SDI/New Millennium employee

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety audits, produce audit reports, and follow up on action items.
• Provide support to the Safety Department
• Assist Safety Coordinator with new hire orientation and monthly safety training
• Maintain the Outside contractor certificate of insurance and the general program
• Assist with stocking and ordering safety supplies as needed
• Assist with various safety and environmental data collecting
• Maintaining SDS sheets for chemicals keeping them updated
• Assist with incident reporting
• Assist in job hazard analysis and PPE certifications
• Provide general support and assistance to the Safety Coordinator
• Other assigned duties
