Job summary

Globus Transport Inc. is seeking a hands-on Safety & Compliance Manager to oversee DOT compliance, driver safety, training, and day-to-day regulatory responsibilities for our 40+ truck operation.

This role requires organization, practicality, and direct collaboration with drivers to improve performance. The ideal candidate will manage FMCSA/DOT regulations, ELD/HOS compliance, and driver qualification files while coaching drivers and coordinating safety training.

Qualifications

• Experience in trucking safety, compliance, or fleet management preferred.
• Working knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Experience with ELD/HOS compliance and driver qualification files.
• Familiarity with Clearinghouse, CSA/SMS, DataQs, and DOT audits.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with drivers and address performance issues.
• Comfortable conducting driver coaching and basic safety training.
• Good judgment balancing regulatory requirements with real-world trucking operations.
• Experience with Samsara or a similar ELD/fleet-management platform is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage DOT/FMCSA compliance and driver qualification files.
• Monitor ELD and Hours of Service compliance and address recurring issues with drivers.
• Review roadside inspections, violations, accidents, and safety trends.
• Coach drivers on HOS, safe driving practices, inspections, and company policies.
• Conduct or coordinate new-driver safety orientation and ongoing training.
• Manage drug and alcohol testing compliance, random testing, and Clearinghouse requirements.
• Monitor licenses, medical cards, MVRs, annual reviews, and expiring credentials.
• Maintain accident registers and required safety documentation.
• Assist with accident investigations, claims, and communication with insurance carriers.
• Manage DataQs and challenge roadside violations when appropriate.
• Monitor CSA/SMS performance and help develop corrective-action plans.
• Assist with DOT, IFTA/IRP, and other regulatory audits.
• Maintain and update company safety policies and procedures.
• Work closely with ownership, dispatch, HR, and drivers to identify and reduce safety risks.

Salary: $65,000–$80,000, depending on experience

Globus Transport Inc. is seeking a hands-on Safety & Compliance Manager to oversee DOT compliance, driver safety, training, and day-to-day regulatory responsibilities for our 40+ truck operation.

This role is ideal for someone with trucking safety or compliance experience who is organized, practical, and comfortable working directly with drivers. We are looking for someone who can manage the compliance side of the business while also helping drivers improve through coaching, training, and consistent follow-up.

What We're Looking For

• Previous trucking safety, compliance, or fleet-management experience preferred

Who Will Succeed in This Role

We are not looking for someone who simply maintains files and reports violations.

The right person will take ownership of the safety and compliance function, work directly with drivers to correct problems, identify recurring trends, and help prevent violations and accidents before they happen.

This is a hands-on position in a growing transportation company where the individual will have a direct impact on safety performance and company operations.
