Job summary

Nucor Corporation's UIG division in Bethlehem, PA seeks a Safety Coordinator to support safety and compliance across all locations. This role leads safety programs, training, audits, and regulatory compliance while promoting a culture of safety and teamwork; travel to UIG operation sites and the Bethlehem office is required.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, 3+ years in safety/compliance (or 5+ in ASU operations), strong leadership, knowledge of OSHA/EPA, and willingness to outages.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years in safety, environmental health, or compliance; or 5+ years in hands-on operations at an ASU plant.
• Experience leading safety programs across multiple sites.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and safety compliance requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment by leading by example.
• Lead safety programs, training, and audits across locations.
• Monitor safety, health, and environmental performance and recommend improvements.
• Ensure site compliance with company safety regulations and OSHA filings.
• Investigate incidents with plant management and guide leadership.
