Job Description
  • Responds to incoming calls to the Police Department, routing and logging calls as appropriate, gathering and managing incident-related data, and arranging for the dispatch of officers to the scene of complaint.
  • Understands how tasks/activities relate to others on the team and how the team integrates with other related, similar teams.
  • Organizes and completes structured assignments (e.g., emergency and non-emergency complaints) according to priorities.
  • Gathers and relays information according to standard processes and procedures.
  • Maintains lists and logs, preparing records and reports as requested.
  • Provides solutions to problems in situations that may be atypical or infrequently occurring.
  • Evaluates and selects solutions from established options/procedures.
  • Impacts the own team through the quality of the services or information provided.
  • Utilizes working knowledge and learned skills to perform various activities for the job.
  • Possesses basic knowledge of specific processes and procedures needed to perform assignments within own work area.
  • Communicates through the regular exchange of information, ranging from routine to complex; ensures that objectivity and sensitivity are applied in communication.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

$17.00 - $20.75
