Job summary

Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal is seeking a safety intern to support site safety programs across projects. You will help conduct safety inspections, assist with drug and alcohol program administration, and participate in incident investigations under OSHA guidelines.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate/doctorate program, with strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate program.

• Strong organizational, time management, and detail-oriented skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in PC programs, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Travel to jobsites to conduct detailed safety inspections
• Implements, administers and maintains project Drug and Alcohol Substance Abuse Program
• Operate under OSHA regulations
• Develops and conducts employee safety and health training programs
• Manages project security contracts, programs and policies
• Performs record keeping functions
• Conducts incident and injury investigations
• Writes detailed injury reports
• Completes all appropriate company safety program documents
• Monitors construction safety program administration
• Supports continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of safety
