Job summary

Owens & Minor is seeking a FULL TIME Equipment Operator to join our warehouse team. The position involves unloading inbound shipments, counting and logging products with RF equipment, and preparing orders for distribution.

Shifts offered include multiple daily windows, with pay at $20.50 per hour plus 8% and 10% shift differentials where applicable. Responsibilities include using pallet jacks, RF scanners, and voice-pick technology to move goods safely and efficiently, while maintaining

• Receives, counts, verifies, and logs product using RF equipment or Voice Pick Technology.
• Performs bulk picking and loads freight onto pallets for shipping.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and follows safety policies.
• Counts and documents inventory; participates in physical inventories as required.

The anticipated pay rate for this position is: $20.50/hr + 8% and 10% shift differential where applicable

Available Shift: Monday - Friday 3PM until finished | Monday - Friday 6AM until finished | Monday - Friday 4:30AM until finished

Job Description: Performs warehouse tasks within the facility, primarily without the use of Material Handling Equipment (cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, sit down forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.). Unloads, receives, and processes inbound shipments. Performs bin replenishment, moves product around the distribution center to ensure efficient processing, and prepares pick locations. Accurately picks, packs, sorts and loads outbound products in accordance with customer specifications. Ensures warehouse functions are completed safely, accurately, and on-time within company standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Receiving
  • Unloads pallets and cases from inbound trailers and/or containers manually using the pallet jack.
  • Accurately counts, verifies, and receives product using radio frequency (RF) equipment and/or Voice Pick Technology, documents variances.
• Bulk picking
  • Select products and quantities as directed by Vision Pick Technology and/or RF scanner and places in totes or on a pallet.
  • Assist on the dock with scanning and loading the freight using electric riding pallet jack or manually load carts.
• Sortation
  • Prepares sortation area by setting up pallets and carts for product.
  • Moves cartons and totes from conveyor belts and/or rollers and places on pallets and/or carts according to assigned batch.
• Loading
  • Uses RF scanner to ensure that totes, pallets, and carts are loaded correctly onto trucks for customer delivery.
  • Uses pallet jack to load pallets.
• General requirements for all functions
  • Follows general sequencing and process procedures.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
  • Follows safety policies and procedures and corrects or communicates hazards to management.
  • Places incoming merchandise into inventory.
  • Conducts physical inventories as required.
  • Counts and performs basic math calculations.
