Position Overview

We are seeking a Safety and Regulatory Compliance Coordinator to ensure safety practices meet regulations, support safety officers, track compliance, and conduct inspections. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of safety standards, reporting, and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that activities and programs align with the mission, vision, and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland.
  • Understand and apply local, state, and federal safety regulations; support compliance efforts at various sites.
  • Support adherence to CARF, health, and safety management standards.
  • Monitor and support compliance across all sites, aiming to meet or exceed standards quarterly.
  • Track external inspection requirements and assist site directors and safety officers in meeting them.
  • Facilitate safety officers meetings and ensure safety updates are communicated effectively.
  • Support safety officers in meeting annual training and update requirements for Emergency Site Specific Plans.
  • Oversee electronic incident reporting and ensure timely attestations.
  • Train new safety officers on role requirements.
  • Conduct annual health and safety walkthroughs at each site.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Serve as the safety officer for administrative offices.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in social services, risk management, safety, or related fields, combined with relevant experience.
  • Excellent oral, analytical, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and reporting databases.
  • Must pass fingerprinting and background checks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with CARF, Ohio Department of Mental Health, Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services, Board of Developmental Disabilities, OSHA standards, or similar agencies.
