  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and engineering recommendations to support design improvements
  • Contribute to best practices, test methodology improvements, and new test capabilities
  • Collaborate with CAE team(s) to correlate simulation results with physical test outcomes
  • Support the development of future models by identifying safety risks and proposing countermeasures
  • Ensure compliance with global regulatory and consumer test standards (e.g., FMVSS, NCAP, IIHS, CMVSS, etc.)
  • Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders, including proving grounds, suppliers, and safety rating agencies
  • Maintain documentation, test records, and quality systems for auditing and traceability purposes
What You Will Bring to the Role:
  • Bachelor’s degree in biomechanical, mechanical, or a related field of engineering
  • Professional experience in planning, coordinating, and executing full vehicle and component-level crash tests (i.e., frontal, side, rear, rollover, static, and subsystem tests)
  • Experience in analyzing crash test data (i.e., structural and occupant)
  • Experience analyzing and/or performing structural crashworthiness and occupant-safety simulations (e.g., frontal, side, rear, rollover, pedestrian protection, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge in automotive structure, crashworthiness, and safety performance
  • Strong knowledge of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), NCAP, and IIHS safety evaluations
  • Experience using data analysis tools (e.g., DIAdem, Hyperworks, etc.) for testing purposes
  • Knowledge of testing, test equipment, and the processes necessary to meet vehicle safety requirements
  • Strong analytical skills
