Job summary

Invictus Associates seeks a Safety Analyst to support the Commander Navy Regional Maintenance Center in Norfolk, VA. You will assist in overseeing Navy SOH programs, analyze safety data, and develop visual metrics while maintaining SharePoint sites using Flank Speed.

The role requires knowledge of Navy Safety and Occupational Health programs and proficiency with Microsoft Office; Power BI and CIH/ASP/CSP are preferred assets.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of the Department of Navy’s Safety and Occupational Health program.
• Strong knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support for Occupational Safety Health and Environmental programs in the Navy context.

Safety Analyst

This position is in the Safety Department located at Commander Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC) headquarters in Norfolk, VA.

Security Clearance: Secret required

Candidate will provide support for Occupational Safety Health and Environmental.

Candidate will assist CNRMC Safety Managers in providing guidance and oversight of Regional Maintenance Centers (RMC) execution of the Navy's Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) programs and Environmental programs. Ensure policy conformance, and adherence with other governmental agencies, state and local statues.

Candidate will review environmental, safety, and fire data on a periodic basis to assist with data analysis and the identification of mishap & hazard trends. Candidate will assist with the development of pivot charts, graphs, and other visual metrics.

Candidate will assist with the development and maintenance of SharePoint sites using Flank Speed.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• A working knowledge of the Department of Navy’s Safety and Occupational Health program.
• A strong knowledge in the use of Microsoft products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:

• Ability to build data metrics using programs such as Power BI or Microsoft.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
