Job summary

Safety Management Group in San Antonio, TX seeks a local Safety Advisor - Owner's Rep to oversee safe operations of powerline crews in the field and on ROWs, focusing on transmission structures and conductor installation. Requires 5+ years of safety experience, transmission & distribution construction experience, a degree in Safety or related field preferred, and OSHA 30-Hour Construction preferred.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations during erection and stringing of structures.
• Monitor and improve safety practices for transmission projects.

SMG seeks a local Safety Advisor - Owner's Rep in the San Antonio area.

The key function of a Safety Advisor is to oversee the safe operations and practices of powerline crews in the field and on right-of-ways (ROWs) demoing and erecting transmission structures and installing conductors and related equipment.

Additional Information

• SMG full-time, benefitted Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier.
• Per Diem is available for non-local candidates only. Per diem is $195 amount for this project.
• Annual pay/merit review/increase.

Requirements

• 5+ years of safety experience
• Experience with transmission and distribution construction, substation construction, new lines construction, access roads, etc.
• A degree in Safety or related fields is preferred
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course preferred
• Transmission & Distribution experience
