Responsibilities include monitoring activities, conducting observations, documenting findings, and supporting safety reporting while using digital tools like an iPad for daily records.
The Safety Advisor promotes a strong safety culture on large commercial and industrial construction sites by monitoring field activities, coaching workers and supervisors, and ensuring adherence to safety rules and procedures. This role builds relationships with field teams, conducts site observations, documents safety findings, and supports daily administrative tasks such as attendance tracking and safety reporting.
You will join a team that takes safety seriously and views it as a core part of project success, not just a compliance requirement. The organization values individuals who bring field experience and supports their growth into leadership and safety‑focused careers. You can expect a collaborative environment where your input on safety matters is heard and respected, and where you can make a visible impact on the well‑being of workers on large, complex projects. The role offers exposure to major commercial and industrial job sites, providing opportunities to expand your experience, develop your leadership skills, and progress your career in construction safety.
The role is based on large commercial and industrial job sites, working primarily on the first shift. You will spend most of your time in the field, moving throughout active construction areas, interacting with foremen, coordinators, and craft workers. The work environment includes typical construction site conditions such as noise, dust, varying weather, and the need to navigate around equipment, lifts, and scaffolding. You will regularly use an iPad and email for documentation and communication, and you will work closely with field coordination and construction administration teams. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times in accordance with site and safety policies.
