Job summary

Bonnell Industries Inc is seeking a Safety, 5S & Continuous Improvement Lead to promote a safe, clean, and organized manufacturing environment. You will work hands-on with employees and supervisors to elevate safety practices, implement 5S standards, and drive continuous improvement projects across the facilities.

Primary focus includes building a foundation for a future Safety and 5S department, leading training, and supporting incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Five to eight years of manufacturing experience in safety, 5S, Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, quality, or operations.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Experience implementing and maintaining 5S programs.
• Working knowledge of OSHA general-industry safety requirements.
• Experience conducting inspections, identifying root causes, and managing corrective actions.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work directly with employees and supervisors on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety inspections and implement corrective actions across manufacturing areas.
• Direct 5S and housekeeping programs, establish standards, and drive accountability.
• Support Lean and process-improvement activities and identify waste and bottlenecks.
• Coach employees and supervisors on basic Lean and problem-solving methods.
• Deliver safety, 5S, and continuous-improvement training to teams.
• Track and report improvement results and sustain gains.
