Job summary

Central Kentucky Community Action Council Inc. is seeking a Transportation Specialist in Kentucky to provide safe transportation services for program participants.

You will assist clients from their homes to the vehicle and to service destinations, while maintaining accurate van records and ensuring safe vehicle operation. Responsibilities include load/unload assistance, conducting daily vehicle checks, completing van reports, and adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including DOT physical/drug screen.
• Ability to drive safely and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to enrolled participants and assist to/from residence to vehicle and destination.
• Maintains accurate van reports.
• Ensures riders are accounted for and determines who pays for transportation.
• Provides safe assistance during boarding and exiting the vehicle.
• Opens and closes all vehicle doors and conducts safety checks.
• Completes daily vehicle checks and checks engine oil before trips.
• Attends staff meetings and training as necessary.
• Maintains safety and security, reports injuries as required.
