Job summary

The Young Men’s Christian Association of Greater Montgomery is seeking a Bus Driver to provide safe transportation for program participants in Enterprise, AL. You will perform daily pre/post trip checks, record fuel and mileage data, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for children and staff.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of bus driving experience, a valid commercial license, and CPR/First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire, plus a proven ability to build positive

Qualifications

Minimum one year work experience as a bus driver.
Possess appropriate class license.
Knowledge of rules for commercial passenger vehicles (bus).
CPR and First Aid certifications within 30 days of hire.
Desire and ability to work with children.
Track record of building relationships with staff, volunteers, and parents.

Responsibilities

Drives bus safely according to YMCA policies and state laws.
Completes thorough before-and-after trip checks daily and records information.
Promotes safety by keeping first aid supplies stocked.
Ensures bus rules are announced and followed.
Develops friendly relationships among staff, volunteers, parents, and children.
Communicates regularly with staff and supervisor.
