Job summary

Pearland ISD seeks a School Bus Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation for students to school and on extracurricular trips. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols and district guidelines, with focus on punctuality and student care.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid Texas Class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, and certification by the Texas DPS. Employment requires a drug screen and ongoing physicals.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age.
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Must maintain an acceptable driving record for school bus drivers as defined by Texas Department of Public Safety.
Must be able to pass an annual physical and mental examination as required by Texas Department of Public Safety.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment and periodic drug and alcohol screening as required by federal law.
Must be able to proficiently read, write, and communicate verbally in English.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, orderly, and efficient transportation of students to and from school and on extracurricular trips.
Maintain student safety and conduct while transporting passengers.
Adhere to district, state, and federal transportation policies and procedures.
