Job summary

Lakeshore Public Schools in Maryland (Stevensville area) is seeking a School Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school and events. You will perform pre-trip inspections, follow routes, and ensure passenger safety.

Schedule is 20-30 hours per week with 3-5 hour shifts. Background checks and random drug/alcohol testing are required. Lakeshore Transportation offers training to earn CDL and endorsements and competitive pay starting at $18.85/hr.

Qualifications

• Background checks include driving record, national criminal background, previous/present employer, MDE physical exam, and random drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle.
• Use established routes and designated bus stops.
• Instruct passenger riders regarding safety.
• Drive defensively under varying traffic conditions and inclement weather.
• Establish favorable working relationships with staff and students.
• Attend training sessions and in-service as required.
