Job summary

Verida Inc. is seeking a full-time Bus Attendant in Little Rock, AR to assist eligible Medicaid members during rides to and from appointments. You will ensure safety, complete required paperwork, and maintain a positive, patient demeanor.

Responsibilities include assisting students boarding and exiting, following route directions, supervising restraints, and reporting behavior and incidents to the appropriate administrator. You must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• All Attendants must be at least 25 years of age.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned daily transports in a safe and timely manner.
• Complete all paperwork required for transportation services rendered.
• Complete a daily inspection of the assigned vehicle before the start of the day.
• Assist students as they board and leave the bus and manage student behavior as well as report student discipline problems to the appropriate administrator.
• Communicate with teachers and parents on a daily basis regarding student behavior while on the bus.
• Become familiar with all routes to and from the school campus to be of assistance to the driver.
• Supervise and assist with the use of seat belts, harnesses, or car seats by students.
• Follow emergency procedures and help driver administer first aid, if necessary
• The attendant must be courteous, patient, and professional at all times, as well as neat and clean in appearance per the driver handbook.
