Job summary

Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. is seeking an experienced SAFe Product Owner/Scrum Master in the Frederick, MD area. You will translate business strategy into actionable work for the SAFe Team, refine the backlog, and ensure value delivery across agile cohorts.

You will coach teams on SAFe practices, participate in PI planning, and collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with enterprise objectives and program goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four (4) years related experience in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of experience facilitating Agile teams, including Product Owner and SCRUM Master roles.
• SAFe certifications (e.g., Product Owner, SCRUM Master, Agilist).
• Proficiency with ADO (Azure DevOps), JIRA, Confluence or similar tools.
• Experience managing multiple software products and transitioning to Agile.
• Strong written and oral communication; capable with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with WBS, resource management, and scheduling across agile teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own, prioritize, and refine the team backlog and roadmap.
• Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, and RTE to prioritize requirements.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to maximize value delivery.
• Provide SCRUM Master support and coach Agile teams.
• Participate in PI Planning and program backlog refinement.
• Monitor product progress, risks, and dependencies; report status.
• Support SAFe organization alignment and enterprise-scale delivery.
