Job summary

Oceans Healthcare is seeking a Driver to provide transportation for patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders, supporting the therapeutic milieu and safety of patients.

The role requires safe driving, adherence to traffic laws, and routine vehicle checks; candidates should have a high school diploma and experience with psychiatric inpatients. CPR certification and de-escalation training are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• 6+ months experience with psychiatric inpatients (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation for patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders.
• Supports therapeutic milieu and ensures patient safety during transport.
• Practices safe driving and adheres to traffic laws.
• Pre-trip vehicle checks and reporting any issues.
• Communicates with Transportation Coordinator and nursing staff regarding pick-ups and drop-offs.
• Participates in performance improvement and quality assessment initiatives.
