Job summary

Southeast Building Supply Interests Inc. is seeking a Non-CDL Driver to safely deliver building materials and support job sites in our service area.

You will load, strap, and unload materials while following DOT regulations and SBSI safety standards, ensuring timely and courteous service to customers. Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip inspections, proper load securement, accurate delivery logs, and clear communication with customers, dispatch, and site supervisors.

Qualifications

• Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections performed and issues reported promptly.
• Loads properly secured using approved methods (straps, tarps).
• Operate vehicles under 26,000 lbs GVWR following DOT/state SBSI safety standards.
• Use proper lifting techniques and PPE at all times.
• Participate in safety meetings, trainings, and toolbox talks.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions or near-misses in real time.
• Keep vehicle clean and organized to reduce hazards.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and site contacts professionally.
• Deliver materials to correct location in excellent condition.
• Verify material quantities and resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate clearly with customers, site supervisors, and dispatchers.
• Represent SBSI values and service excellence at each site.
• Proactively communicate ETAs and delays to customers.
• Read delivery tickets, load lists, and route maps.
• Maintain delivery logs and signed documentation.
