Job summary

Weller Truck Parts in Lockport, IL is seeking a Delivery Driver to operate company vehicles safely and deliver products to customers. You will maintain daily logs, inspect vehicles, follow routes, secure loads, and provide exceptional customer service while complying with traffic laws.

The role is safety-sensitive; you will work in various weather conditions, lift up to 25 pounds, and support warehouse tasks as needed. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Experience as delivery driver preferred.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate GPS devices safely.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operates company vehicles following safety and traffic rules.
• Completes daily driving logs and reports issues the same day.
• Follows routes using company-issued iPad and verifies deliveries.
• Inspects vehicles before/after trips and reports maintenance needs.
• Secure loads with straps, and obtain proof of delivery or signatures.
• Maintains delivery records and vehicle cleanliness.
• Assists with warehouse tasks and occasional errands.
• Communicates professionally with customers during deliveries.
