Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is looking for a Visiting Researcher (Sabbatical Fellow) for the 2027–28 academic year at the University of Colorado Boulder. Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. or be in progress and will conduct research, possibly teach courses. The position offers a competitive salary of $6,000 – $10,000 per month based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a Ph.D. at the time of appointment or a scheduled dissertation defense date.
• Candidates should not be employed by another institution during their time as a Visiting Researcher.
• Regular in-person presence at the Benson Center is expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct original research and writing related to the Benson Center's mission.
• Participate in various activities of the Center.
• Opportunities to teach undergraduate courses may be available.
