Job summary

Optro in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a detail-oriented accounting staff for a temporary, part-time revenue role within the order-to-cash team.

You will review SaaS contracts for GAAP compliance, verify SSP and revenue allocations, reperform ARR calculations, and support month-end close while coordinating with the Revenue Manager and accounting colleagues. This 4-5 month engagement starts May/June.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or earned Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting (CPA candidacy a plus).
• Foundational understanding of US GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review SaaS sales contracts and assess terms for GAAP compliance.
• Determine whether contracts are single- or multi-element; verify SSP and revenue allocations.
• Review the system-generated monthly revenue schedule and allocations.
• Reperform ARR calculations and ensure alignment across reporting systems.
• Provide updates to the Revenue Manager and Senior Manager regarding deal queue and deadlines.
• Collaborate on ad hoc Accounting department projects.
• Assist in month-end closing activities.
• Commit to a 4-5 month contract starting in May/June and ending in September.
