Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer based in the United States. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, availability, performance, and scalability of enterprise SaaS products. You will help build and maintain resilient cloud infrastructure while driving Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices across engineering teams. Working with modern cloud technologies, you will strengthen monitoring, automate operational processes, and improve incident response to deliver seamless customer experiences. The role also involves leveraging AI and AIOps solutions to anticipate issues, optimize system performance, and enable automated remediation. You will collaborate closely with software engineering and SRE teams to improve deployment practices, eliminate operational bottlenecks, and maintain high service standards. This is an opportunity to contribute to mission‑critical financial technology platforms in a dynamic, innovation‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will lead initiatives to strengthen infrastructure resilience, optimize application performance, and ensure the continuous delivery of reliable SaaS services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Champion and implement SRE principles and practices to maintain high-quality, resilient, and observable infrastructure across SaaS products.
  • Promote a culture focused on service reliability, availability, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as an advocate for reducing Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) and serve as Incident Commander during critical production incidents.
  • Leverage AI tools to improve system reliability through intelligent observability, incident prediction, and automated remediation across cloud environments.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging AI-powered operations and observability solutions to proactively enhance performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Design, implement, and maintain application and infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems to prevent customer-impacting incidents.
  • Monitor and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Optimize application performance and infrastructure efficiency at scale.
  • Automate operational processes, including system maintenance, deployment workflows, and operational runbooks.
  • Define, maintain, and support CI/CD pipelines aligned with branching strategies and quality assurance standards.
  • Evaluate, prototype, and integrate emerging technologies, tools, and engineering practices into existing workflows.
  • Independently manage technical projects and deliver assigned milestones on schedule while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with SRE and software engineering teams to establish shared quality expectations and accountability.
  • Promote engineering best practices, identify operational bottlenecks, and continuously improve processes.
  • Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation, leading production incident triage, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Apply lessons learned from incidents and operational challenges to strengthen system resilience and prevent recurrence.
Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced reliability engineering professional with strong cloud infrastructure, software development, and automation expertise. You should bring:

  • 5+ years of scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Experience supporting 24/7 customer-facing production environments.
  • Practical experience with AI/AIOps technologies and CloudOps automation.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms, including AKS or EKS.
  • Knowledge of SQL and Cosmos DB monitoring, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
