Job description

We are looking for a Content Producer for our marketing team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production of video content, including how-to videos for customer support, short live action and animated videos for marketing, and thought-leadership style videos. But most importantly, they will also serve as the face of the brand and act as the host / on-camera talent in the videos - just like YouTube video creators.

The ideal candidate has experience creating or overseeing video content production for software products and can manage both in-house and external resources to deliver high-quality content on time.

The candidate should be comfortable scripting, editing and hosting videos for digital platforms, and familiar with online video creation tools such as Canva or Riverside. Familiarity with professional tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects is a plus. And they should be well aware of content platforms like YouTube and TikTok.

Location : Remote (Preferred : New York, NY)

Role Type : Full-Time

Salary Range : $120,000 – 140,000 (Base + Commission)

Final compensation will be based on experience, location, and qualifications.

Work Arrangement : This role is 100% remote. Our team is NY-based, but we operate flexibly across time zones. You can own your schedule and optimize for peak productivity.

Key Responsibilities :

  • End to End Video Production :

Oversee the entire video production process, from concept development to final delivery, ensuring content aligns with brand guidelines and business objectives.

  • Produce a variety of video content, including :
  • How to videos for customer support and success.
  • Short live action and animated videos for marketing campaigns.
  • Thought-leadership videos featuring industry insights and product features.

Work with marketing, product, and customer success teams to develop video content that supports business goals.

  • Come up with cool and creative ideas for video content.
  • Scriptwriting & Direction :

Write, edit, and punch up video scripts for various types of video content.

  • Manage filming (when necessary) and video editing to ensure the final product is the best it can be.

Work closely with in-house video editors, content writers, stakeholders, freelancers, and external vendors.

  • Ensure deliverables are on time, on budget, and meet quality expectations.
  • On Camera Presence :

Act as a video host for thought-leadership videos, directly addressing the camera to discuss product features, industry trends, and best practices.

  • Record and produce Loom-style product walkthrough videos as a talking head, providing clear and engaging demonstrations of software features.
  • Performance Optimization :

Monitor video performance metrics (views, engagement, conversions) and use insights to refine content strategy.

  • Stay up to date with video trends, tools, and best practices to ensure content remains fresh and effective.

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing with a significant focus on video production, especially for software or SaaS products.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of video content, including how-to videos, marketing videos, and thought-leadership content.
  • Visual storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for a broad audience.
  • Experience managing in-house teams, freelancers, and vendors.
  • On-camera experience and comfort hosting videos as well as familiarity with video editing tools are needed.
