Job summary

Accountants One is partnering with a growing SaaS company in Marietta, GA, to fill a Controller role. This is a hands-on, "one-person finance department" position where you own accounting, finance, and lightweight HR operations reporting directly to leadership.

You will build scalable processes, transition from cash-basis to accrual (ASC 606 revenue recognition), manage the general ledger, close, and financial reporting in QuickBooks, and track SaaS metrics to guide strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience (hands-on controller or senior accountant).
• SaaS or software industry experience is required.
• Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Comfort wearing multiple hats in a small-company environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the sole finance/accounting/HR resource, owning day-to-day operations end-to-end.
• Lead the transition from cash-basis to accrual accounting, including ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Manage the general ledger, close process, and financial reporting in QuickBooks.
• Track and report on SaaS metrics (MRR/ARR, deferred revenue, churn) to leadership.
• Build scalable finance processes and controls to support subscription growth.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, cash flow, and financial planning.
• Payroll, benefits and 401(k) plan administration.
• HR administration (recruiting logistics, onboarding, policies).
