Job summary

Qualitrol in Rochester, NY is seeking a SaaS Architect – Analytics Platform to define and evolve the technical architecture of our Analytics as a Service platform, balancing cloud-native design with on-prem considerations.

You will lead engineering standards, drive AI-assisted development, ensure security, reliability and rapid delivery, and partner with product teams to scale a high-availability SaaS product.

Qualifications

• 10+ years enterprise software development.
• 5+ years architecting SaaS platforms.
• Strong cloud architecture experience.
• Experience designing highly available distributed systems.
• Experience leading engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Define the architecture supporting cloud-native analytics services for the Analytics as a Service platform.
• Provide technical leadership across the incubator and guide architecture decisions (Architecture, Design patterns, APIs, Data models, Security, Observability).
• Champion AI-assisted software development including specification-driven development, AI-assisted coding, automated code reviews and testing.
• Establish standards for code quality, DevSecOps, CI/CD, test automation and cloud operations; partner with DevOps for operational excellence.
• Balance long-term architectural vision with hands-on leadership and collaboration with Product Owner and Product Engineers.
• Ensure security, reliability, performance and observability; drive continuous improvement and reduce technical debt.
