- Assist in providing medication, monitor vital signs, and take samples of bodily fluids: either blood or urine.
- Provide support to technical staff and clinicians.
- Clean and stock service area.

Position Summary:

The Small Animal Intermediate Care Treatment Crew member is to support technical staff in ensuring quality veterinary care by assisting Registered Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants with procedures, patient restraint, cleaning and any other duties to maintain consistent care and efficient work flow.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies :

- Ability to properly handle and restrain various species of animals.
- Effectively communicate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating excellent customer service, high degree of confidentiality, openness to teaching and providing consultation to a variety of stakeholders.

Physical Demands:

- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Sit, stand, stoop bend or walk intermittently during the day on hard floor surfaces.
- Wear all protective gear including mask, gloves, gown, hairnet, and safety goggles.
- Work for long periods of time with arms extended.
