Position Summary

The Small Animal Intermediate Care Treatment Crew member supports technical staff in providing quality veterinary care by assisting Registered Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants with procedures, patient restraint, cleaning, and other duties to ensure consistent care and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

  • Ability to properly handle and restrain various species of animals.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating excellent customer service, confidentiality, and openness to teaching and consultation.

Physical Demands

  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Sit, stand, stoop, bend, or walk intermittently during the day on hard floors.
  • Wear protective gear including masks, gloves, gowns, hairnets, and goggles.
  • Work with arms extended for long periods.

Additional Information

  • This position is a Position of Trust.
  • It involves direct interaction or care of children under 18 and direct patient care.
  • Security access is required.
