ATCO Rubber Products, Inc. in Sacramento, CA is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a 35–50 person hourly manufacturing team on the 1st shift. The role focuses on supervising productivity, ensuring safety, and meeting production schedules in a fast-paced environment.

You will coordinate with the Plant Manager, oversee hiring and training, manage schedules, and drive improvements to quality and efficiency. The position is onsite with a full benefits package and bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a production supervision or similar role.
• Ability to lead a team of 35-50 hourly employees.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with ERP, MS Office, and inventory controls.

Responsibilities

• Supervise quality, production output, and machine efficiencies.
• Meet or exceed production schedules and set goals.
• Assign responsibilities and monitor performance of production staff.
• Coordinate with Plant Manager and other supervisors to resolve challenges and implement improvements.
• Act as shift leader to motivate teams and improve productivity and quality.
• Support hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions; maintain schedules and records.
• Ensure staff are trained to work safely and efficiently.
• Conduct shift meetings and communicate expectations.
• Maintain equipment and reduce unplanned downtime; monitor scrap and waste.
• Drive targets and promote a safe, positive work environment.

ATCO – PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR – Assembly (Sacramento, CA) – Onsite 1st Shift

POSITION SUMMARY

ATCO Rubber Products Inc. is currently looking for an experienced Production Supervisor who has exceptional supervisory and leadership skills to lead a production team of 35-50 hourly employees in Sacramento, California. This position will supervise and monitor employees’ productivity and oversee the safe use of equipment in a manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBLITY

• Responsible for the quality, production output, and efficiencies of machines.
• Meet or exceed all production schedules and set goals
• Assign responsibilities to production employees and monitor their performance
• Coordinates with Plant manager and other supervisors to resolve production challenges, recommends improvements to processes, and ensures alignment with organizational goals
• Serves as the shift leader, motivates and guides employees to improve productivity, product quality, and efficiency.
• Conducts and supports hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions; manages production schedules and ensures all records are accurate and up to date
• Ensure all employees are trained to work safely and efficiently
• Effectively counsel employees per company policies
• Conduct shift meetings and communicate expectations
• Maintain production equipment running and reduce unplanned downtime
• Monitor, control and reduce scrap or waste
• Motive employees to achieve production targets
• Promote a positive and safe work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Manager

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY

This position manages all production employees and is responsible for the hiring and performance management of the employees.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position working 40-45 hours per week, Monday-Friday and may include occasional Saturdays, 9.30 PM to 6:30 AM.
