Job summary

Blazer Electric Supply Co. in Colorado Springs is seeking a Delivery Driver to transport materials to customers on a Monday–Friday schedule from 5:30am to 2:30pm. You will verify loads, scan deliveries, maintain logs, and determine efficient routes to ensure timely service.

The role includes lifting and unloading, operating warehouse equipment, and promoting good customer relations. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CDL not required, but must pass DOT medical exam.
• Steel-toed boots required.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive truck or van to transport materials within specified area; verify loads against shipping papers; obtain signed receipts for material delivered.
• Scan each delivery into system before leaving the warehouse; maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
• Determine best route for effective delivery of product that will satisfy customers' expectations of a timely delivery; record delivery information.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies as required, and immediately report any deficiencies to ensure safe operation.
• Perform loading and unloading of trucks and moving inventory around the warehouse.
• Operate warehouse equipment and follow all Company safety procedures.
• Promote and maintain good customer relations; may promote new sales as opportunities arise.
• Take an active role in communicating customer feedback to Company management, including customer complaints, requests, returns, and potential opportunities.
• May perform Material Handler responsibilities when not engaged in primary responsibilities.
