Job summary

ScalePro Solutions, a respected construction general contractor in Chicago, seeks a hands-on Controller with potential to grow into CFO. You will lead the accounting function, work with ownership and operations, and guide financial strategy during a period of growth.

You’ll inherit an established team and partner across the business to strengthen reporting, controls, and processes while supporting project accounting, cash flow, and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all aspects of corporate and construction project accounting.
• Manage WIP, percentage-of-completion, job costing, and AIA/progress billing.
• Oversee monthly financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow.
• Partner with ownership to provide financial insight and support key business decisions.
• Serve as the financial liaison between accounting and operations, working with Project Managers and leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and develop an accounting team of approximately five professionals.
• Evaluate and improve accounting processes, reporting capabilities, and internal controls.
• Help position the finance function to support growth and strategic objectives.
