Position Summary

Perform various duties to check in merchandise and complete related paperwork.

Required Qualifications

• Perform preliminary safety check of assigned equipment prior to daily operation and record/report problems or defects to Supervisor or Equipment Mechanic.
• Operate receiving equipment to move pallets of merchandise to various storage locations.
• Read put-away labels to determine storage location of merchandise and verify item correctness.
• Transport merchandise from staging area to storage area, using equipment or hand truck.
• Instruct drivers and lumpers on stacking patterns for received pallets to sort and segregate merchandise.
• Accurately count cartons/pallets of each received item.
• Complete purchase order/worksheet for each received item.
• Assist driver in unloading merchandise using power equipment or hand truck.
• Tag each pallet with item number, purchase order number, and date received.
• Sum all quantities and complete general information on purchase order/worksheet after receiving all items.
• Sign driver's freight bill noting overages, shortages, refusals, and damages.
• Unload merchandise, sort, segregate, and stock on pallets with or without assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

Warehouse experience preferred.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40

Time Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $16.00 - $23.56 per hour

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in this job grade. The actual salary offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
