Job description

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a full-time Breast Surgeon in the Southern Region of NJ

RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers Cancer Institute (CINJ) of New Jersey are seeking a fellowship trained, board-certified or board-eligible breast surgeon to join our team of dedicated breast surgeons in the Southern Region of NJ.This position is based out of Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch and Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus in Lakewood.

About this position:

This role offers opportunity for mentorship with experienced breast surgeons as well as long-term potential to build a strong following in the community. Our breast surgeons are part of a system-wide team of dedicated clinicians who work collaboratively and participate in educational initiatives throughout the state of NJ. This role also offers generous compensation, health insurance, malpractice, and pension. This position does not take general surgery call.

Supporting patients at the Jacqueline M. Wilentz Comprehensive Breast Center (JMWCBC) at both the Long Branch and Lakewood locations, the breast center utilizes state-of-the-art equipment, and provides comprehensive breast health services. The JMWCBC demonstrates commitment to the provision of top-quality evaluation and management of patients with breast disease, as illustrated by participation in national quality programs that utilize measurements and standards of care to drive improvement and evaluate care delivery:

  • National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) through the American College of Surgeons (ACS);
  • Certified Quality Breast Center of Excellence through participation in the National Quality Measures for Breast Centers (NQMBC) of the National Consortium of Breast Centers (NCBC); and
  • Designation as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology’s (ACR) Commission on Quality and Safety and the Commission on Breast Imaging.

Applicants must be fellowship-trained in breast surgery or breast surgical oncology. Candidates with a NJ license or eligible for NJ licensure will be preferred. We encourage recently graduated fellows to apply today!
