RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, and Rutgers Health, a statewide academic healthcare provider, are seeking a Pediatric Neurologist to join the Department of Pediatrics at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in East Brunswick, New Jersey. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated physician who is passionate about academic medicine and clinical/lab bench research. The ideal candidate will join a well-established team of 4 faculty members, who provide both inpatient and outpatient care to children with complex neurological diseases. The Neurological division houses a level 4 epilepsy program, concussion program, and pediatric multiple sclerosis program. The outpatient servicesare located inthe Rutgers Child Health Institute of NJ (CHINJ), and practices located in Edison, Somerset, and East Brunswick. CHINJ is astate-of-the-artfacility that includes a Pediatric CRC, Pediatric subspecialty offices, and a modern research facility. Our New Brunswick–based clinical programs have achieved Accredited Status for Ambulatory Health Care by the Joint Commission, one of only a small number of academic ambulatory practices with this status.The inpatient clinical services of the division of PediatricGastroenterology and Nutritionare conducted at the Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital (BMSCH) of the Robert Wood JohnsonBarnabasHospital in New Brunswick, NJ. This is a105-bedacute care hospitalfor childrenwith a dedicatedendoscopy suitelocated on the only pediatric academic health campus in the state of New Jersey. The BMSCH is ranked as one of America’s Best Hospitals by U.S. News and World Report.Adjacent to the RWJ Barnabas Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s hospital is the PSE&G Children’s Specialized Hospital, which is one of the country’s largest inpatient acute rehabilitation facilities for children. Across the street is the Rutgers Cancer Institute of NJ – the only NCI designated center in the state of New Jersey.

The Department of Pediatrics has a full complement of pediatric medical subspecialists who actively collaborate with pediatric surgical specialists in clinical care and academic endeavors. In the department are124 physicians and basic scientists who conduct collaborative research with an emphasis on mechanisms of disease, novel therapies, epidemiology and/or outcomes research in the areas of relevance to childhood diseases. Our centers of excellence include The Boggs Center on Developmental Disabilities, Child Health Sciences, and the Institute for the Study of Child Development. The Department has recently expanded by more than 40 new faculty members and plans to recruit additional faculty, to expand our research, education, and clinical programs and provide improved care to our patients.
