Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated is seeking a Real World Evidence Manager to join the RWE team. The role focuses on epidemiology, real world data, and observational research to inform regulatory and clinical development decisions, across global stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has advanced training in epidemiology or related field and at least 2 years of observational research experience in life sciences or related sectors. Hybrid work options and a comprehensive benefits program are offered.

Qualifications

• PhD preferred or MS/MPH in epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics and outcomes research, or similar required
• Formal graduate training in Epidemiology/Health Services Research required
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in observational research within life sciences industry or relevant academic, government, or consulting environment

Responsibilities

• Support focused epidemiologic research for Vertex's pipeline and portfolios
• Ensure scientific rigor for real world data analyses
• Conduct feasibility assessments of data sources for disease areas and research questions
• Design and defend fit-for-purpose observational epidemiologic research with appropriate methods
• Collaborate with vendors to meet project timelines and goals
• Support Study Execution Teams for observational studies
• Contribute to performance metrics and dashboards for RWE projects
• Communicate RWD/RWE value across the company to internal teams and external audiences

Education
