Job summary

Modern Animal in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking a Veterinary Technician to leverage your RVT license and contribute to high-quality care. You will document medical records, perform lab work, radiology, and pharmacology tasks while collaborating closely with DVMs and staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

You will also educate owners on discharge instructions, act as a brand ambassador, and participate in local marketing efforts to grow the clinic’s membership.

• Successfully completed the VTNE.
• Enthusiasm for Surgery/Anesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Utilize your RVT license to the highest level.
• Record accurate medical records utilizing veterinary terminology.
• Complete lab work as needed.
• Perform radiology with understanding of appropriate fields.
• Complete medical calculations as needed.
• Understand veterinary pharmacology.
• Log controlled medications.
• Collaborate closely with DVMs and coworkers.
• Communicate discharge instructions with owners.
• Perform duties autonomously.
• Act as a Modern Animal ambassador and support local marketing to grow clinic membership.
• Grow and thrive in an environment of continuous learning and excellence.
