Job summary

Old Towne Animal Hospital in Fair Oaks is seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Veterinary Assistant to join a dedicated team. The role includes handling medical records, client communications and assisting with exams, diagnostics, anesthesia and surgery.

Qualifications

• Experience in veterinary field preferred or enrolled in Vet Tech program.
• Reliable with excellent communication and strong work ethic.
• Ability to multi-task with a friendly, positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones and scheduling appointments.
• Maintaining accurate medical records.
• Communicating with clients regarding patient care.
• Assisting doctors with medical care, diagnostics, anesthesia and surgery.
• Cleaning cages and kennels, general care of hospitalized patients.
• Filling multiple prescriptions daily and contacting outside pharmacies.
