Job summary

Aggie Animal Dental Center, part of Animal Outpatient Specialty Network, seeks an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our specialty dental team. We focus on oral and maxillofacial health, performing routine cleanings, extractions, root canals, jaw fracture repairs, and other advanced dental procedures.

Previous dentistry experience is not required; we value compassion, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit.

Qualifications

• RVT with current license
• Experience in veterinary hospital; specialty experience a plus but not required
• Strong anesthesia, catheter placement, phlebotomy, and patient-handling skills
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Positive, dependable, and self-motivated with strong attention to detail
• Collaborative team player eager to learn and share knowledge
• Adaptable and proactive in a fast-paced specialty environment
• Comfortable with electronic/near-paperless medical records
• Passionate about providing exceptional patient care

Responsibilities

• Calculate and administer medications IV, IM, and SC
• Place IV catheters and perform phlebotomy
• Induce and monitor anesthesia
• Assist with dental and oral surgical procedures
• Prepare, clean, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments
• Provide compassionate nursing care and safely restrain patients
• Perform basic patient assessments and communicate findings to the veterinarian
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records, including SOAPs and charges
• Fill prescriptions and dispense medications as directed
• Provide warm, professional client communication, including patient check-in and discharge instructions
• Assist with front-office responsibilities, including phones and scheduling, as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized hospital and contribute to a positive team environment
